Route Description
Tamarind Falls, locally called Les Sept Cascades, is a series of seven waterfalls near Tamarin in southwest Mauritius. The trail descends through forest, crosses streams, and reaches several pools where you can swim.
The hike is roughly 6 km round trip and takes 2–4 hours depending on how many pools you visit. The path can be muddy and slippery, especially after rain, and some sections require scrambling on wet basalt. A local guide knows the safest route to the best swimming spots and can provide abseiling access to the lower cascades.
